In Class Projects
Week 1 - Foley Challenge + Basic Projection
During this week we participated in a two hour foley challenge where we had to recreate the sounds in a specific movie scene from a specified list using objects from the classroom or the MakerSpace. This is know as foley created by Jack Foley. My group and I chose to do a scene from "No Country For Old Men" which Caro referred to as the most difficult from the list of options.
With Raul we began learning about projection mapping. This was my first ever introduction to the subject and I had a lot of fun messing around with the basics in this class.

Week 3 - Analog Projection
In Caro's class we were tasked with creating an installation without the use of software (excluding ableton). We additionally had to create all the audio featured ourselves. This was to all be inspired by the 2021 Word Press Photo winner 'The First Embrace'.
Week 4 - Window into a World + Painting
We had our first visual assignment this week which was our 'Window Into A World' project. This was to be directly inspired by this title.

Additionally during Jelkes' class we had to pair up in twos and create a painting based on merging human features with robots. The whole class painted on the one large canvas using only black and white.

Week 6 - Abstraction + Performance
This week was our 2nd visual assignment. It had to be created using abstract imagery with a real life object as the subject.
Week 5 - Signal + Musical Composition
A group project which took place during Caros' class which I created alongside Roman, Malaika and Layla. This was inspired by the World Press Photo winner in 2014 "Signal" by John Stanmeyer.
Additionally we had to submit our first version of our first audio assignment 'Musical Composition'. This had to be done using recorded sounds from the real world.
This project had to involve some level of performance from at least two group members. The installation had to invoke some sort of emotion in the audience. It was also to be inspired by the World Press Photo 2022 winner 'The Cinema of Kabul'. Created with Arne, Timo, Laith & Christiaan.

Week 8 - Shifting Context + Mini Expo
This was one of the busier weeks we had. Both the first showcase for shifting context and our mini expo took place. For shifting context we had to take a piece of media and change the context to create something new and creative.
Our Mini Expo was a fun event in which we could all experience an expo in some form while receiving feedback and our projects we showcase. I showcased my 'Window Into A World" and 'Musical Composition' projects.
Week 10 - Tutorial
This week I spent creating my tutorial which was instructions on how to add subtitles/captions to videos inside of Premier Pro.
