About
I'm currently a 21 year old multimedia student in the later half of their studies. I chose to do the minor "Audio & Visual Design" for my own interest in sound design but I realised that I actually had a great love and appreciation for projection mapping as its something I never even considered. Being honest I expected something very different when arriving into the minor. But I was very quickly intrigued and wanted to constantly learn more. This minor surprised me and I'm very glad in my decision to participate in it.
Goals
My aim for the future is to work in a job in the media industry that I enjoy. Whether that be in film, animation, audio, photography and more. I enjoy almost all corners of the communication sector and I still have not set my eyes on one specific job but I hope someday to figure out exactly what I wanna do. But I'm easy going and am willing to explore things to maybe one day find that answer. But there's no rush and for now I'm just having fun.
Funny enough back in 2022 upon finishing my final exams in secondary school I had chosen my multimedia course as a 2nd option on my list of courses I could study in college once I received my grades. I missed my first choice being 'software development' by 6 points. At the time I was upset and was convinced I'd dislike my 2nd choice. To this day it's one of the best things that has happened to me and it helped me become more understanding of myself and my aspirations. I hope to continue this journey of understanding who I am exactly as I believe its one of the most important things for an individual to learn about.
I plan on using what i've learned from both sound design and projection mapping to its full extent in the future. Both are topics I absolutely fell in love with and I'm excited to see where my new found knowledge will take me. But I think the most important thing i've learned during this minor is that failing and making mistakes is completely okay and you can always learn from it and improve yourself. I've become much more comfortable with this and I'm glad I am. I'm much more open to feedback and advice than I originally was and it's a tool that can improve your skills drastically. It's something I now feel very comfortable with.
